JSON

Oke gas, hari ini kita bakal bahas JSON! Jadi JSON tuh singkatan dari JavaScript Object Notation. Sintaks-nya emang mirip banget sama object JavaScript, tapi sebenarnya JSON cuma teks atau string biasa aja. Intinya sih, JSON adalah format data yang ringan buat nyimpen dan mindahin data. JSON banyak banget dipakai pas data dikirim dari server ke client. Dibandingin XML, JSON tuh jauh lebih gampang dipake, beneran deh!

Nah liat deh contoh JSON di atas — sekilas mirip banget kan sama object biasa? Terus bedanya apa dong? Bedanya tuh simpel: key di JSON harus pake tanda kutip ganda (double quotes), alias harus berupa string. Tapi tenang aja, karena JavaScript object dan JSON tuh mirip banget, kita bisa gampang bolak-balik konversi JSON ke Object dan sebaliknya.

Yuk kita bedah lebih detail contoh di atas. Jadi kita mulai dari kurung kurawal. Di dalemnya ada key "users" yang nilainya array. Di dalem array itu ada beberapa object, dan setiap object punya key masing-masing. Nah setiap key HARUS pake double quotes ya! Misalnya kita pake "firstName" bukan cuma firstName doang — ini nih beda utamanya antara object biasa dan JSON. Oke, sekarang liat contoh JSON yang lebih gede nih:

Mengonversi JSON ke Objek JavaScript

Biasanya sih kita ngambil data JSON dari respons HTTP atau dari file, tapi biar gampang belajar, kita bisa simpen JSON sebagai string dulu terus baru diubah ke Object. Di JavaScript, keyword JSON punya dua method keren: parse() dan stringify(). Kalau mau ubah JSON ke object? Tinggal parse pake JSON.parse(). Kalau mau ubah object ke JSON? Pake JSON.stringify(). Gampang banget kan!

Menggunakan Fungsi Reviver dengan JSON.parse()

Nah, buat pake fungsi reviver sebagai formatter, kita tinggal tentuin key mana yang mau kita format — misalnya firstName dan lastName. Katakanlah kita pengen ubah firstName dan lastName jadi huruf kapital semua, gini caranya:

JSON.parse() tuh praktis banget, sumpah! Kamu bahkan gak perlu ngasih parameter opsional, cukup pake parameter wajib aja udah bisa ngelakuin banyak hal.

Mengonversi Objek ke JSON

Nah kalo mau ubah object ke JSON, kita pake JSON.stringify(). Method stringify ini butuh satu parameter wajib dan dua parameter opsional. Replacer dipake sebagai filter, dan space buat indentasi. Kalau kamu gak mau filter key apapun, tinggal kasih undefined aja, santuy~

Yuk kita konversi object berikut jadi string. Pertama-tama, biarin semua key tetep ada dan kasih indentasi 4 spasi biar cakep hasilnya.

Menggunakan Array Filter dengan JSON.stringify

Sekarang, kita coba pake replacer sebagai filter nih. Object user kan punya banyak key, tapi kita cuma pengen beberapa aja. Gampang! Tinggal masukin key yang mau disimpen ke dalam array, terus pake di posisi replacer. Cekidot:
